Partner Onboarding
Welcome to the onboarding documentation for becoming a Figure Partner! This guide is designed to help partners set up their configuration and technology to interact with Figure.
Configuration
Domains
Partners have two options for the top-level domain:
- Figure can own the domain.
- The partner can own the domain. If the partner owns the domain, please see the DNS section below.
DNS
If a partner owns the the domain they wish to use for their Figure product, they will need to point their domain to Figure's DNS servers. Figure utilizes GCP Load Balancer to distribute partner traffic to our servers. While onboarding, Figure will provide the partner with the necessary DNS records to point their domain to Figure's DNS servers, but it will look something like:
The privatelabel-z
is a placeholder for the actual private label domain. You will be provided the actual letter of your private label domain during onboarding.
CNAME *.partner.com. -> privatelabel-z.figure.com
Certificates
Figure manages all of the certificates for our partners. We use Let's Encrypt to issue certificates, and we automatically rotate them at least every 365 days. Let's Encrypt uses the X1 Certificate Authority to issue certificates, which is valid for all browsers.
As part of Figure managed certificates, we also have robust monitoring and alerting for domains and SSL certificates to ensure stability and maintain uptime.
Cloudflare
We do not recommend putting the Cloudflare proxy in front of the Figure private-label load balancer, as some configurations can prevent our certificate rotation and interfere with monitoring. Please see our details about Security and Scalability on the Figure Technology page.
